Introduction

The Asset Access Manual is scoped to cover the following Assets:

Curriculum
The Course curriculum covers the contents of the Asset Access Manual and includes the minimum requirements for access as well as the authorisations and protocols designed to ensure all employees and contractors may work safely near and around HV plant and equipment.
 
Accreditation levels 
    1. Restricted Access 
    This is the minimum level for unaccompanied entry into a substation and authorises the attendee to be:

    2. Unrestricted Access 
    This is the minimum level required for all work on the HV Asset without supervision or direction.
 
    Restricted and Unrestricted Access levels are covered during the same Course.
 

Licensing
At the completion of the course, you will be issued with a license once your AAM07 application form has been submitted and processed by ElectraNet or SA Power Networks.
First time attendees are required to complete a workplace assessment at a substation under the supervision of your manager (Accompanying Officer). This assessment must be provided with your AAM07 application in order to receive your License.

The intended audience for Asset Access training is as follows:

Completion of the Asset Access training course is mandatory for those wishing to carry out work on ElectraNet and shared sites.

Learning Methods

Class room based for new and refresher attendees.
The Course includes a written assessment to confirm the understanding of the participant on the requirements of the Asset Access Manual.
