Description
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to perform overhead energised low voltage (LV) work in an electricity supply industry (ESI) environment.

Electrical workers who work on or near Live LV electrical apparatus;
Workers who have the required LV field Switching competency and undertake LV Field Switching;

Equipment & PPE
Suitable working aloft in a live environment to complete a task such as EWP/ladder, insulated line covers, insulated hand tools, tensioning equipment, insulated temporary conductor supports, temporary insulated jumper bridges.
Suitable work are to perform a live or simulated live task.
Assessment approach
Learners will be assessed using a combination of the following methods:
- Theory/Written Assessment (e.g. Short Answer Questions, Multiple Choice, Verbal Questioning Interview)
- Direct Observation/Practical Assessment (e.g. Workplace, Simulated Environment, Role Play/Scenario)
Course Entry Requirements
To participate in this course, participants are required to:
- have current certification in the required prerequisites.
- be literate in spoken English and competent in reading, writing, and numeracy.
- be sufficiently fit to participate.
Accreditation Status
Nationally recognised training.
Upon successful completion, learners will receive a statement of attainment.
