Description

The qualification covers skills and knowledge to manage power generation plant systems activities, remote operation of network systems, development of operational procedures and the implementation of safe working practice for work in the electrical supply industry (ESI).

It also includes working with civil plant and infrastructure and observing safe working practices.

5 elective units from Group C; plus
3 elective units may be selected from Group C or, with appropriate contextualisation, from a qualification in this or any endorsed Training Package, provided selected units contribute to the vocational outcome of the qualification.

5 elective units from Group C; plus

Equipment & PPE

Learners are required to have the following to participate in this course:

  • Personal Protective Equipment (e.g. Hard Hat, Safety Footwear, Approved Hi-Vis Clothing, Safety Glasses)
  • Stationary (e.g. Pen, Pencil, etc.)

Assessment approach

Learners will be assessed using a combination of the following methods:

  • RPL assessment kit completion to satisfactory outcomes
  • Portfolio (e.g. Logbook, Third Party Reports)

To participate in this course, participants are required to:

  • have current certification in the required prerequisites.
  • be literate in spoken English and competent in reading, writing, and numeracy.
  • be sufficiently fit to participate.
