The purpose of this module is for the student to understand why voltage control and reactive power management is crucial in high voltage systems.
Please note, this is a non-accredited course and upon successful completion, learners will receive a Certificate of Completion – Voltage Control and Reactive Power.
In this course, participants will develop the skills and knowledge as stipulated in the following:
- Explain the importance of voltage control
- Identify the consequences of inadequate voltage control
- List the concepts of voltage control, reactive power and DC
- Identify voltage control equipment
- Explain the importance of power voltage curves
- Explain the role of the operator in voltage control
