TAAM ElectraNet Recipient
Description
In accordance with the ElectraNet Transmission Asset Access Manual (TAAM), training is required to access and undertake operations on ElectraNet assets. The ElectraNet Recipient course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to understand and comply safely with the TAAM Authorisation Level – Recipient
Authorisation Level Recipient is a person who has the appropriate training and specific knowledge and experience in substation or line work, who is authorised to receive and hold an HV Access or HV Test Permit (at which point they become the Recipient in Charge).
Learners must lodge an application via the ElectraNet portal on https://www.electranet.com.au/contractors, prior to attending TAAM training.
This course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to understand and comply safely with the Permit to Work process specific to the site, and regulating authority requirements. The course provides the learners with the necessary knowledge of the electricity supply industry (ESI) safety rules and codes of practice for work on or near electrical apparatus, and understand procedures to gain access for work on or near electrical network infrastructure.
Course aim
The course is designed to provide the learner with the knowledge and skills to enable them to receive and hold an HV Access or HV Test Permit, safely act as a permit recipient, apply ESI safety rules and understand the procedures required when gaining access to work on electrical infrastructure.
Target learner group
Employees and contractors who are required to work under Access Permits as per the enterprise procedures

- Trainer led classroom presentations

Assessment approach
Learners will be assessed using a combination of the following methods:
- Theory/Written Assessment (e.g. Short Answer Questions, Multiple Choice, Verbal Questioning Interview)
Course Entry Requirements
Learners are required to:
- be an employee of ElectraNet or of an ElectraNet Endorsed Company;
- hold AL: Substation and/or AL: Lines ElectraNet asset access; and
- have applied and been approved to attend training via ElectraNet portal.
Accreditation Status
Nationally recognised training.
Upon successful completion, learners will receive a statement of attainment.
