As we continue to expand, we are in search of a GWO certified trainer and assessor with expertise in conducting safe working at heights, vertical rescue operations and work in confined spaces. This role involves contributing to our provision of accredited training for the renewable energy industry. While prior experience in the ESI sector is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement. What truly matters is a proven track record of substantial experience in elevated work environments and confined spaces, coupled with the skill to lead captivating training sessions.
The Position
As a GWO Trainer, you will deliver high quality training and assessment services to both our corporate clients and the general public. Training courses are delivered at our training venues as well as onsite at client premises, working on major infrastructure projects. As a result, a prerequisite for this position is the capability and willingness to travel.
The Person
The ideal applicant/s will have experience working within the Australian Electrical networks or similar industries and have a passion for passing on the benefits of your knowledge and experience to new and experienced workers.
Training experience and a current TAE 40116 certification in Training and Assessment is essential. Thomson Bridge will also consider and support the right candidate in attaining their TAE.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Deliver training and assessment in the following areas:
Work safely at heights
Undertake vertical rescue
Enter and work in confined spaces
- Liaise with client services and student records for course bookings and post course management
- Undertake assessment validation as required in collaboration with others
- Participate in professional development opportunities
- Support the development of new training programs
- Assist with regulatory and industry audits
You must have:
- Current Cert IV in Training and Assessment/Current GWO Qualifications
- First Aid, CPR.
- First Aid in an ESI Environment.
- Work safely at heights.
- Enter and work in confined spaces.
- Current HRWLs.
- A high attention to detail.
