The Position
We are looking for an experienced Boiler and Turbine Trainer and Assessor to join our team. In this role, you will be required to:
- Conduct competency-based training and assessment aligned with national standards.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulation.
- Support the development and upkeep of courseware materials
- Engage in Train the Trainer, audit programs and ongoing professional development.
- Advocate for Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives
- Delivering training and conducting High Risk Work License assessments for the following three Units of Competency:
- MSMBLIC001 – License to operate a standard boiler
- MSMBLIC002 – License to operate an advanced boiler
- UEPOPL001A – License to operate a steam turbine
The Person
The ideal applicant will have:
- Hands on experience in the operation and maintenance of boiler and/or turbines in power generation sites or industrial settings.
- Hold one or more current High Risk Work Licenses for the relevant plant – BS, BA & TO.
- Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40116/40122 or equivalent).
- Additionally, you will have a sound understanding for HSE procedures and compliance regimes.
- Ability to Travel Nationally.
- Possess excellent communication skills with the flexibility to tailor training to meet the unique needs of students
- Exhibit strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.
Qualifications:
- A Trade or Engineering qualification relevant to pressure equipment plant.
