Description

With the widespread rollout of the National Broadband Network (NBN) comes many job opportunities in the telecommunications industry. Our Telecommunications and NBN training – Power awareness course is designed for those beginning their career in telecommunications or looking to add to the experience they already have. It gives students an industry accredited certificate with a focus on working safely near live electrical infrastructure as well as workplace specific first aid training.

Our Power Awareness course is designed to meet the safety training requirements established by the telecommunications industry. It will teach you to develop and follow safe work practices surrounding the installation of above or below ground telecommunications cables.

Note: This course does not cover the performance of rescue procedures from an Elevating Work Platform (EWP). This is included within our EWP Rescue and Escape course.

UETDRMP018 Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel Current

Our Power Awareness Initial program runs over two consecutive days.

Full course (4 to 6 units): $660

Half course (1 to 3 units): $340
