Background
Pacific Hydro has a large number of operating assets and development projects in Australia across Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and New South Wales. This includes six operating wind farms and three hydro facilities.
Our role
Pacific Hydro seeks to implement a Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedure as part of its maintenance operations environment. Thomson Bridge has been commissioned to write a LOTO procedure which:
Meets industry best practice
Integrates with the existing Pacific Hydro policies and procedures
Thomson Bridge is drawing on the existing Pacific Hydro procedures, together with its in-house experience with other power industry clients, to develop the required elements of the procedure.
The proposed LOTO procedure will:
Integrate with existing operational lock procedures
Integrate with existing permit and JSA procedures
Cover a range of access scenarios, for both wind and hydro power stations
At the completion of this exercise, Thomson Bridge will develop and deliver onsite training, to ensure a smooth rollout and implementation of the new procedure.
